More work for printers but prices continue to fall

Print shops produced more work in 2015 and consequently more turnover than previous years. This was necessary to compensate lower prices.
How did print shops do in 2015. This is the subject of the 3rd Drupa Global Trends report. It appears that most print shops worldwide have seen their turnover rise (+ 19%), as well as their work (+ 23%). However, most print shops had to lower their prices (-13%) and their margins (-21%). The rising prices of paper also influenced the margins.
In Europe print shops had to lower their prices even more (-22%). We have seen the trend of higher production and lower prices for a few years now, since the 2008 economic crisis. Please note: the percentages are number of print shops.
